At Hockey Gear World, we stand behind our gear with the same confidence you have on the ice. We understand that sometimes equipment needs to be returned or exchanged to ensure perfect performance. Our returns process is designed to be as straightforward as a breakaway pass.
Our Return Policy
We gladly accept returns and exchanges for most items within 15 days of receipt. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In its original, unused condition
- In the original packaging with all tags attached
- Accompanied by your proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, the following products cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective:
- Cups/Supporters (for obvious hygiene reasons)
- Composite Blades (if used or removed from packaging)
- Facemasks/Shields (if removed from original packaging)
- Any personalized or custom products
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps to process your return or exchange:

- Provide your order number and reason for return/exchange
- Wait for authorization – we’ll email you a Return Authorization Number and instructions
- Package your item(s) securely in the original packaging

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived defective or we made an error in your order. We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot guarantee receipt of untracked packages.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item:
- Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days
- Your refund will be credited to your original payment method
- Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund (typically 3-10 business days)
- Shipping costs are non-refundable
Exchanges
For exchanges:
- We’ll process your exchange once we receive the returned item
- If the exchanged item costs more, you’ll be charged the difference
- If the exchanged item costs less, we’ll refund the difference
- Standard shipping rates apply to exchanged items
Defective or Damaged Items
If your gear arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately at [email protected]. We’ll arrange for a replacement and provide a prepaid shipping label for returning the defective item.
